THANK YOU FOR DONATING, WE'RE GRATEFUL FOR YOUR SUPPORT!
The Sapper Association Inc., is a 501 (c) (3) nonprofit organization dedicated to preserving the legacy and prestige of Past, Present and Future Sappers!
The Sapper Association, Inc., is Missouri organized, for tax purposes, as a Tax Exempt Organization pursuant to the provisions of Internal Revenue Code Section 501 (c) (3). Accordingly, cash and appreciated assets such as stocks, bonds, aircraft etc. contributions to the SA are deductible by the donor based upon the assets' market value on the date of the contribution or gift. Many donors choose to contribute appreciated assets since it avoids the tax on the capital gain while giving the donor the tax benefit of the fair market value of the donated asset. Receipts for donations will be sent for all individual donations in excess of $100.
SA aims to develop and take part in many causes such as establishing two Essayon Memorial Scholarship Funds, improving awards for the LTG (R) Robert B. Flowers Best Sapper Competition, 1st thru 10th place, developing a Sapper Hall of Fame and Cubs of Sappers Foundation. Our aim is to present awards to Sapper School graduates; Soldier & NCO of the Year for the 1st Engineer Brigade, sponsor and participate in as many community events across the country as opportunities are presented.
In addition we have the "Essayons Memorial Scholarship Program" that provides annual competitive monetary awards to dependents of our members to defray educational and training costs. Our top initiative is to develop the Cubs of Sappers Outreach Program in order to assist children of Sappers killed in action.
Please keep the Sapper Association in mind when doing your periodic contribution, donation, gift assessments and estate planning.
All general donations will go toward the daily administration costs for SA. However if you desire your donation to go towards a specific and already established SA Fund, please select that Fund; established funds are the LTG Robert B. Flowers, PV2 Jonathan Falaniko Scholarship Funds, and General Fund Site. Click on one of the preceding links to view specific information about each fund.
Funds are derived from member contributions, interested parties, partners, sponsors, and corporations that support the Sapper Association. In addition, we solicit and encourage donations of items of value that can be used to raise funds through raffles and other venues. Items corporations or other businesses pledge, and we receive, are considered donated at “fair market value” amount.
We welcome donations via credit card, check or money order. You may also mail donation checks directly to The Sapper Association at the address provided below.
If making a general donation, please specify “Not specified (where most needed)” under “Donation to be used for:” when using the above donation image link, otherwise your donation will go toward general needs of the SA. In addition, if you are pledging an item or items make sure you select “Yes” under “Item(s) in lieu of money” on the donations form.
